Financial Friday: Have You Started Your Garden?

With the price of produce expected to sky rocket in the next few weeks, I'm asking..."Have You Started Your Garden?"
My husband loves to garden. So I just had to show you his latest project. He loves to do starters for the spring. The news said the other day it was time to start your garden starters....and so he did. In case you are wondering, most of those are tomato plants!!
So if you need a tomato plant, I'm sure we won't be planting 9 of them! Otherwise, he started bell peppers, onions, and green beans. He does love to garden. He should have been a farmer!
I have to admit, I am happy we have plants growing in our Family Room. It gives me a little piece of mind knowing we can have our own produce for a fraction of what it might cost by the summer. Plus, if you'll notice, our green beans are going crazy right now. So who knows, maybe we'll start gardening year round!

How about you? Do you have a garden? What do you usually plant?

  1. We have tried to grow a few things in the past, but last year the boy was way too interested in dirt so I skipped it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do some planting this year. I really don't like tomatoes but I like tomato sauce so we might have to grow with that in mind this year!

  2. I need a 'garden started' 101 class. I would love to get some 'starts' going this year, but i don't even know where to
