Valentine's Day Fun

What did you do on Valentine's Day? I'll tell you what I did. I got up at 5 o'clock in the morning. Got ready and went to work. And why would I do this? Well, because I had to frost 100 of these.
My students do a fundraiser every year for Valentine's Day. They make the cookies, frost them cute and put them in homemade boxes. It was a bit wild, but we had a good time. And they sure are cute!!

Here is the recipe we use:
Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/2 cups shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 tsp. Vanilla
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3-4 cups chocolate chips

Cream the first 3 ingredients together. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix flour, salt and soda together. Add slowly to the creamed mixture. Finally add the chocolate chips. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes. (If you want to make them giant, it takes about 20-25 minutes to bake.)
