My husband is wonderful and he got me a Kindle for Christmas, seeing as I love books. But I wasn't totally convinced I would love it. I have to admit I LOVE BOOKS. Not e-books. Just books. On my shelf, reminding me I read them once, or twice, or even three or four times. But since space is running out...and he is tired of all my books....he thought KINDLE.
Now with a Kindle comes responsibility like not dropping, stepping, or eating on it. So I knew right away I needed a cover. So this is what I came up with.
I checked Pinterest as well as Google for some tutorials and ideas. I found some, but I was looking for something a little more...ME! So I combined a few and came up with my own.
Love the argyle! Just used my scraps from home to create it. But I wanted it to be very functional and "childproof".
Notice, some lovely pockets on the side for the Kindle as well as papers or writing utensils.
Now with the Kindle in the reading position. I pretty much leave it here.
Notice I didn't use elastic or ribbon to keep the kindle in place. I just used triangle pieces of fabric that tuck around the Kindle. I think this looks way more professional as well as protects it so much better. Plus, if you cut them out on the bias they will stretch just enough to fit your Kindle. I also used velcro on the flap for the closure. This way when I want to read....
It will velcro around the back and be perfect for holding! LOVE IT!!!
