Pink Lemonade Romper

I have started to really love rompers!  I didn't love them so much with my son, but with my daughter!  I'm addicted!

I wanted to participate in Romper Week at Sewing Mama RaeAnna.
Romper Week

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do.  I first considered making a Peek-a-Boo Pattern Romper.  As there are so many very cute ones!!!

But I decided instead to go off my own inspiration and came up with the Pink Lemonade Romper.

If you have followed me at all, you know I love to use shirring techniques.  So the waistline is shirred.

I made some sweet gathered sleeves.

The tricky part was the bum!  Diapers are a pain.  So I had to add some "fullness" to make sure there was room for the bummers.

The neckline has a casing for ribbon that then gathers to make a keyhole.

I am very happy with how it came out.

I'll have a tutorial coming up in the next week or so on how to make it and I'll attach the pattern for free, if I can get my act together.

Enjoy Romper Week!!

  6. This is so cute! You did a great job getting the bum to fit. I loved rompers with both my kiddos, my "baby" is almost 2 and I think they are still adorable on her at this age too :)
