Pizza Braid Recipe

(Hey look, a recipe!!  I know, it has been awhile!)

Okay, so I have always wanted to make a "braid" out of my food.  I know that is a weird ambition, but it is true.  So I thought I'd try one with some pizza as this is my son's favorite food.

First, you'll need a seamless sheet of refrigerator dough.  Notice, mine isn't perfect, but that is okay. 
Place some pizza sauce down the middle and spread it out about 2 inches away from the sides.
Add your toppings, whatever floats your boat.  Or as my sister says...whatever tips your canoe.


Next, slice your dough about every inch and half to two inches.

Now crisscross your ends.  Then continue to overlap each of your cut pieces.
Should look like this....ish.
Bake and Voila!!!  You are done. is yummy.

I'm sure you could make homemade dough, it would probably taste AWESOME.  But I was feeling a bit on the lazy side and this was super easy and quick.

Pizza Braid Recipe
1 seamless refrigerator dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup pepperoni
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Lay refrigerator dough flat on baking sheet.  Place pizza sauce down the middle of the dough and spread out leaving about 2 inches on either side.  Top sauce with pepperoni and cheese.  Take a knife and carefully slice the sides of the dough about 1 1/2 inches about and 2 inches long on both sides of the dough.  Beginning at one end, left the sliced pieces and overlap them over the top of your toppings, making a "braiding" effect.  Place in a 475 oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
