Bus Tour: Pattern Review

A lot of work has gone into the Back 2 School Pattern Pack.  Just ask my husband!

I thought I'd highlight my FAVORITE pattern in the pack.

The Traveling Backsak!!!

Why do I love it?  Well, it is simple, functional and such a great gift.

I know this because I've been making them for 7 years!  Want some history?

When I first started teaching this was a suggested project for my students.  I wasn't sold until after I had my 90 high school freshman complete the project and love it!  If they can do it, ANYONE can do it!!

Over the years, I've changed the pattern up a bit, made the pattern and directions much more user friendly.  And now I can safely say...ANYONE can make this great pattern.

Now a little more history.

I made two of these bags for my niece and nephew for Christmas a few years ago.  About a month ago, my sister asked if I would be willing to make her 3 child one (that is the one above).  She said they are so great to take on airplanes.  Each of her children can pack whatever they want into their bag and then they are content during the flight.  She told me to market them as "great for traveling".  Thus the name, "The Traveling Backsak".

One more thing, these patterns are generally for 3-10 years olds, but like I said, my freshman (14-15 year olds) loved these bags.  They aren't big enough for a high schoolers school load, but they are great for gym clothes and after school practices or lessons.

Make sure to check out the Back 2 School Pattern Pack in our Etsy Shop!

Don't forget, if you don't want the entire pack, you can always buy each of the patterns separately.  Just send me an email or conversation on Etsy.
