Fall Children's Clothing Series: Dresses and Skirts & GIVEAWAY!!!

Welcome to the Fall Children's Clothing Series.

During the month of September, I will be sharing with you some of my children's wardrobe.  Much of which this year I handmade.  Which was a challenge, but so much fun!

This week our focus is on Dresses and Skirts.

There is a GIVEAWAY for one of my favorite patterns at the end:  The Bumblebee Dress by Sewing Mama RaeAnna!

Don't forget to link up your great children's clothing in our Fall Clothing Linky Party!

It is so much fun having a girl.  I wasn't sure about it when I was pregnant, but I know now!  There are so many options out there for creating girl clothing.  I am having way too much fun.

First, is the Natalie Dress by Peek-a-Boo Patterns.

I love this pattern!  I made one for my little girl in the size 3 months also.  It is an easy pattern and turns out so cute!!

The nice thing with this is I upcycled an old t-shirt of mine to make the bodice and then found some cute fabric for the skirt.  I know it looks a little more "spring", but it is too cute so I don't even care!!

And since she is getting LOADS of teeth, she enjoys chewing on the ties.  (I tacked my ties down so they stay put, the pattern doesn't have you do this.  However, with how little she is, it makes me feel "safer" and keeps the tie on the skirt.)

Next, is the Signature Dress by Go To Patterns

This is the first time I have created this dress.  Let's just say it won't be the last.  (You'll also see that I used it for the tunic and hoodie in later posts.)  It is a very diverse pattern with so many options it is hard to choose.   This dress has the long sleeves layered with the gathered sleeves and the waist is shirred (which if you follow me at all you know I LOVE me some shirring.  Check some others out HERE, HERE, and HERE.)

The only thing I was a little "annoyed" by was the long sleeves.  The 12 month size long sleeves are a little too tight, and this is on my 8 month old.  So I would say, make sure to measure so you know you can get their arms through.

Now, the Hangout Hoodie Dress by Peek-a-Boo Patterns

Another great pattern, that personally, I would love in adult sizes.  It seems so comfy.

This is the dress, but you will see the hoodies later in the series.  I didn't put the button on this one, because she is so small and tends to "eat" everything.

(If you want my review of the dress, check it out HERE.)

I LOVE THIS PATTERN!  I am truly obsessed.  I've made like 5 of these and it won't be the last.  You have so many options!

This is view B.  It is sleeveless, but has so many ruffles, it is a good "start of fall" dress.

Isn't it adorable!

This is view A with a ruffle at the bottom.  LOVE!  (You will see later this month the tutorial I put together to make this into a coat dress.)

Adorable!  Nuf Said.
(Plus, we are giving one away!!!  See bottom of the post)

Chevron Rag Dress
I know, it isn't really Fall.  But with a long sleeve shirt and some leggings, it will work for both seasons.  So for this dress I used the Oliver + S Popover Dress Pattern which is a FREE Pattern!!

It doesn't, however, come in size 12 months.  Which is what I needed.  So I have to size it down.

These are the Sporty Girl Skorts by Peek-a-Boo Patterns

I plan to make a few more of these.  They are really great for little ones and can last the winter if you just pair them with some leggings.  It is a great little pattern.  The blue and orange one is for Football Season.  My husband is a die hard Boise State Bronco Fan.  So my children have no choice but to dress the part.  Even the baby!  She will look great though on game day!

Okay, are you tired yet???

Now it is your turn!  I'd love to see the projects you have for your little ones!  Link up any and all Fall/Winter clothing posts you have.  They can be homemade, thrifted, or upcycled!  Check out the party!!

(I am a Peek-a-Boo Pattern Affliate, however, all opinions are my own.)
