Fall Clothing: Boys Tops & Bottoms & GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Fall Children's Clothing Series.

During the month of September, I will be sharing with you some of my children's wardrobe.  Much of which this year I handmade.  Which was a challenge, but so much fun!

We have a GIVEAWAY WINNER!

WINNER of the Bumblebee Dress by Sewing Mama RaeAnna is:

This weeks giveaway is from Peek-a-Boo Patterns!  See the bottom of the post to enter to win!!

This week our focus is on Tops and Bottoms.
Today:  Boy Tops and Bottoms

Don't forget to link up your great children's clothing in our Fall Clothing Linky Party!

First, I have to admit.  I make more clothes for my girl than my boy.  I know, that is normal, but it bothers me.  I'll tell you why.  I love sewing clothes for my boy!  I just do.  It makes me feel good knowing that he doesn't have to wear the lame stuff you often find in the store for boys.  That being said, this fall I didn't sew as much because we got a LOT of clothes from some family and friends for him.

I also did quite a bit of upcycling for my little man.  Took dad's old stuff and made it his "new" stuff.

T-Shirts

I used 2 patterns to make his short sleeve tshirts.  First, Peek-a-Boo Patterns Classic Ringer T and second, MADE's free tshirt that comes in just one size (4T/5T but my little guy is a 3T and the neck is a little tight for him, so you decide).  All five of the above, plus 2 more, of these were upcycled from some of my husband's shirts.  They turned out great and it is fun to see my little man in them.

All the above long sleeve tshirts were given to us by family and friends.  See, I don't need to make any.  Although that doesn't mean that I won't!

This cute top is a FREE Pattern that I tested for Sewing Mama RaeAnna.  It is so cute and comfy.  I am planning to make some "Halloween" Jammas with it for the little man.

Pants and Jeans

All of the above our from family and friends.  That is 6 pairs of pants!  Crazy!  But that doesn't mean I can't make them!

These are the Classic Chinos.  I made them in denim from some upcycled jeans of my husbands.  I changed the back pocket and have a little tutorial on how to make your own, but I think they turned out pretty great.  I am excited to make more as he grows!

Twix -or- Tee

This last outfit is one of my favorite.  It is also my entry for the Candy Challenge for Project Run and Play, for Kindergarten Challenge and my Flip of the Study Hall Jacket from the Alphabet Collection.

Want more and a tutorial of my changes?  Check out THIS POST!!

Don't forget to come PARTY with us!  Link up all your Children's Fall Fashions in our Linky Party!  Made, thrifted, upcycled, bought.  Whatever you share, share with us!

  27. We don't have much of a fall here, it seems to go straight from summer to winter sometimes. MY favorite things are items that can extend the summer wardrobe for that short period of time before it's time to seriously bundle up. I love layering my kids summer shirts with solid colored long sleeve shirts. For me personally, I love cardigans and they go into to winter easily.
