PR&P: Let's Go To the Movies

Let's Go the the Movies: Nancy Drew

Now I will admit, Nancy Drew is not necessarily my favorite movie of all time.  However, I couldn't quite justify making something of leather for my baby girl or son to do Top Gun.  So we decided on Nancy Drew.  I did love all the books growing up.  These and the Babysitter's Club!  Plus, I already had the fabric.  I actually bought it for the Mad for Plaid week during last season.  But went a different route.  (Check out that post HERE.)

I thought Nancy Drew fit quite well since she is always exploring and discovering.  For instance, this Ninja Turtle.

Or these window markers!  Life is such a mystery!

To make the skirt I just pleated a rectangle piece of fabric.  And let's just say I am glad I have a baby girl and not a teen!  This pleating was not my favorite part!

But it did come out super cute!

For the top, I used the Bimaa Sweater by Lou Bee Clothing.  It is so soft and comfy!

Can you see how this one can get anything she wants!  All she has to do is look at you with those big blue eyes!!

All in all, I think it turned out pretty great!  Plus, she will wear it for months to come!
