Project Sewn: If the Shoe Fits Challenge

*****UPDATE******
Maxi Dress by GYCT

This weeks Project Sewn challenge was to find your favorite shoes and make something to complement them.

Okay, I know it sounds lame, but I really do LOVE my flip flops.  I have like 6 pairs.  Just ask my husband!!  I don't get to wear them most of the winter (but sometimes they do make an appearance).  But today, I got too!  Even though it has been raining for like a week.  And snowing for like 2 weeks before that.  It stopped for a brief moment and I went outside.

So for my clothes, I decided I wanted to make a Maxi Dress.  However, I didn't not want to look "wider" then I already am.  So I took my awesome stripe fabric and did a little diagonal cutting.  Thought it came out quite nice.  And very comfy.  I should have a tutorial out soon to show you how to make your own.

For the top, used that good ole' Seafarer Top.  Love it. Used it for the Pink Challenge.  Don't you love the windblown hair!  I know, I said it had stopped raining but the wind hadn't stopped!

Overall, I am very pleased with this comfy look.  Like I am pleased with my other comfy look from the first challenge.  See that one HERE.

  1. You did an amazing job on the skirt! So fun! I use to live in flip-flops- but we called them slippers in Hawaii... just think of your gusts of wind as nice tropical breezes...lol
