Time To Travel E-Book Review

When the ladies from Sewing With Boys approached me about reviewing their new Time To Travel E-book for boys.  It was a no brainer to say yes.  I mean, these ladies are SO talented.  Plus, the entire e-book was geared for sewing for your boy.  An area that is lacking for sure.  I also was excited to try out this e-book because we have a trip planned for Disney soon.  And since I am taking a 5 year old and 2 year old across the country, in a plane for several hours, I need all the help I can get.  Let me tell you now, this e-book is really a lifesaver.

Now I will admit, I don't usually purchase e-books.  Unless you count the things I read on my Kindle.  However, this e-book really is worth the money to purchase.  It isn't just some fun patterns.  It also includes several craft printables, make believe printables, and several great articles about traveling with your children.  I personally loved the traveling tips.  I am totally using the idea to wrap little "presents" for the kids to open when they get bored on the airplane.  Saving my life here.

So the first thing I actually did was print out the fun make believe printables.  They have a plane ticket, money and even traveling documents.  We filled them out with the kids info.  Then I used them to "practice" packing and getting on the airplane.  We took our carry-on bags and gave our ticket to the flight attendant.

Both my son and daughter really enjoyed playing with these.  And I really do think they will do better when we get on the plane for our trip.

Next, I printed and colored the lacing cards.  These are going on the plane with us.  They are super cute and should keep them entertained for a little while.  Right?!

I couldn't wait to make the pirate map.  Little Man and Little Miss both adore this and go on adventures all the time.  It is perfect for make believe.  I don't think this will be going on the plane, but it will go into our dress-up box.

Next I decided the kids both needed a fun little wallet for our trip.  They have been earning "coins" so they can buy something special.  So I figured they needed a place to put those coins.  Plus, all that play money is perfect for these wallets.

Finally, I sewed up the Just Like Papa Briefcase.  This is a fun bag that is designed to hold art supplies, books, and even has a fun window pocket with a zipper for storing toys or small games.  It isn't a real big bag, which is nice for a small carry-on.  It zips so the bag will open completely and lay flat.  Since the bag isn't real deep, you'd need to make sure everything is stored in one of the many pockets.  I decided to add a pocket on the exterior of the bag for a little more storing space.  Directions to do this isn't included in the e-book, however, it would be easy to do.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Time To Travel E-book from Sewing With Boys.  I made a lot of the projects, but this isn't even all of them.  For $13.95, you get several great patterns, loads of fun printables and coloring pages, and some useful articles.  It is a great deal for all that is included.  So go grab yours today!
